THE ALL NEW MUSIC FESTIVAL IN TEESSIDE

We’re currently working hard to bring you some news for our 2026 edition. Keep an eye on our socials to stay up to date.

ABOUT US

Running since 2018, The Gathering Sounds is an independent multi-venue music festival based in Stockton-on-Tees organised by KU Promotions. The festival is a one day celebration of the best new and emerging music the UK & Ireland has to offer with previous acts including The K’s, The Royston Club, The Lottery Winners, Sophie and The Giants, Sports Team amongst many more.

Promoting gigs in the region for over 20 years we’ve seen first hand just how rich Teesside and the wider North-East is with musical talent. It’s become commonplace, especially in more recent times, for talented local artists to either move away from the area to pursue a career in music or to give up entirely which is a massive reason why we believe this festival is so important. We want The Gathering Sounds to be a premier festival to showcase new talent and give our own artists right here in Teesside the opportunity to be a part of it.

We’re so grateful for the support we’ve been shown over the years, especially from the local music scene. We’ll always be thankful to those who’ve helped support this event and champion the artists of tomorrow.

Over the years we’ve watched artists who’ve played the festival go on to deservedly achieve great commercial success and 2025 was a landmark year in this sense. Over the course of the year we’ve seen six artists score major chart success. This included:

  • The K’s - Pretty On The Internet - No.1 UK album charts

  • Lottery Winners - KOKO - No.1 UK album charts

  • The Royston Club - Songs For The Spine - No.4 UK album charts

  • Sports Team - Boys These Days - No.11 UK album charts

  • The Clause - Victim of a Casual Thing - No.19 UK album charts

  • The Molotovs - More More More - No.7 UK singles chart, No.1 UK physical singles chart & vinyl singles chart
